Customer Inventory Form

We understand how valuable your belongings are, and we do everything we can to keep them secure whilst you store them with us. However, because we can’t guarantee to keep them safe in every eventuality, we ask that all customers either take out protection through our Customer Goods Protection Policy or have proof of appropriate insurance. Either way, we’ll ask you to complete an inventory form. This way you can establish the full replacement value of the belongings you’re putting into storage and ensure you have appropriate protection in place.

  • Click the ‘ADD ITEM’ button to build your inventory room by room.
  • Next choose the item from our list of commonly stored items, select the quality of the item to estimate the replacement value as if new, click ‘FINISH’ and move on to your next room.

If you need to finish your form later hit the ‘SAVE & CONTINUE’ button and complete it later. When you’ve finished, submit your form and it will also be emailed to you too.

It is important that you value all of your goods appropriately so that you are covered for the maximum replacement value. If you declare a maximum replacement value lower than the actual value, then our liability will be reduced to reflect that proportional reduction. So, if you declare a maximum replacement value for 75% of the true value, you will only be paid 75% of your claim, which is called the 'proportional reduction'. Claims under the Customer Goods Protection policy that Kangaroo Self Storage offers are handled by a specialist claims adjuster named RCS.
